Soldered brass, 25 x 17 x 19, 2009.

Olympian Cup (2009) is a monumental tabletop assemblage in soldered brass that reinterprets classical sacrificial vessels and heroic trophy cups through an anthropomorphic, mythic syntax. The sculpture reads as an abstracted seated figure, where the large, deep chalice basin functions as the torso and two sweeping legs sit astride a curved central seat. By fusing figurative posture with neoclassical vessel architecture, Olympian Cup merges the heroic tradition of ancient Greek sculpture with modern open-form assemblage.
